Show-Days, Birthdays, Days Out, Nights Out

It's been an action packed couple of weeks! So here we go...

Shows:
Quite a few! Can't remember a lot of them though as I've been a bit pants at remembering to take backstage pictures, but I found these pictures on my phone that are obviously from Proud but must be a couple of weeks old - I can't find them further down on my blog so I'm going to add them here with an apology!

I was excited over the weekend to assist Zebrowski Photography on an exciting shoot with the super talented Ben Brown and Jonathan Finch; I can't wait to see the results! Those boys are amazing!

I had a couple of lovely days out with the boy, visiting various places. We spent a beautiful sunny day in Hastings where we visited the castle, a couple of museums, a nature reserve, went on a cable car up a cliff, and had a drink in a smugglers den!

And we bought *all* the seaside candy!

A few days later, we found a hidden gem so close to our house; Beaver Water World (snigger) is a nature reserve, miniature zoo and exotic animal rescue centre! I got a bit giddy; we saw crocodiles and tortoises and snakes and meerkats and raccoons and lemurs and owls and parrots and... yeah, it was a good day!

 

 

There have also been a couple of awesome nights out; first for Amory's leaving do - for those who don't know, Amory was the booker at Proud for a couple of years and since he's moving on to pastures new it was only fitting we sent him off in style!

I had a couple of accidental nights out at the London Wonderground watching House of Burlesque and Black Cat Cabaret. Accidental because I honestly didn't plan on getting tipsy and going out, but these things happen... and they were fun!

Oh yeah, and it was also my birthday! Wooh! So I celebrated with a group of friends in the best way; eating food and drinking bubbly wine! I got cake from the girls at Dancia International, free pizza and prosecco from the restaurant we went to, and seemed to have a bottomless glass of wine at the bar afterwards! We all ended up at The Coach And Horses in Soho joining in with Mister Meredith at the piano for a good-ol' fashioned knees up, and a wonderful time was had by all - even if I had several messages the next day from various people claiming I'd destroyed them. It's my birthday - I win.

Oh heavens; I've been terrible at keeping up this blog recently, haven't I?! I have a severe lack of motivation at the moment - probably something to do with the sunny weather and sheer amount of wine I've been consuming...

Well the weather has been rather marvellous this week, hasn't it?! All I've wanted to do is sit in the sunshine and drink cider and cocktails, when instead I've... sat in the sun and drank cider and cocktails... Well; that worked out well didn't it!

 

The week began with a trip to Hagen and Hyde in Balham for Chastity Belt's pub quiz; we've been before and always fail miserably, but it's a fun night with friends and wine, and that's what matters most, right?!

Then the weekend kicked into gear with two awesome shows; first at Proud Cabaret in the sweltering heat! It all got very cozy, and slightly sweaty, backstage!

Then I dashed across town to my partners-in-crime for Rock The Kaff Bar in Brixton! Much fun, and wine, was had by all!

After the show, we hied ourselves to Ben Elder's frat/birthday party where we were treated to the sight of naked skinny dipping, a beer bong and more booze (honestly I think my blood is basically beer at this point!)

Then I rounded off the week with a lovely evening with some of my favourite people, drinking cocktails at Balans in Soho, and meeting Hollie Deller's fiancee! It was lovely to catch up with the gorgeous Jasz Vegas (verified) and spend time with a bunch of fabulous folk.

Doing It In Style

Two very, very busy weeks behind me! And I've had an absolute ball...

First off, I joined the fabulous House of Burlesque, for the Kiss Me Deadly catwalk show (so much gorgeous underwear!), at The Tabernacle in Notting Hill. A beautiful venue, and lots of lovely ladies - what more could I ask for?!

Well the following week I was back with them again for their regular show 'Banged Up' at Madame Jojo's in Soho, which I adored; so funny, sexy and such fun!

Aah, this hat brought back memories: Circus Burlesque 2010, Edinburgh Fringe!

I travelled up to Sheffield and back for the Alternative and Burlesque Fair, hosted by Heresy 'N' Heels - it is a great event; stalls, shows, exhibitions - the works! It's just a shame I always seem to go to one of them when I have no money! Although maybe that's a good thing as I'd certainly have no money *left* afterwards - so many beautiful things! It was a fun afternoon and I was very well looked after by Lorraine and Jo, and the rest of the team, which certainly made me feel better after the most nightmarish morning of travel follies!

Afterwards I wound my way back to London to round off the fortnight with a show at Proud Cabaret alongside gorgeous ladies Missy Fatale and Slinky Sparkles, and the equally gorgeous gentleman Michael Standen - unfortunately my phone battery died and I didn't get any mirror pictures, but I did grab a couple of selfies with Joe Morose... who is also gorgeous, obviously...
